Marina Cedro

Singer, poet and actress
Studies music at the National Conservatory of Buenos Aires. Theatre, classical and contemporary dancing at the General Cultural Centre of San Martin and attends literary courses at the Cultural Centre Riojas, Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1994 she travels to Brazil where she lives for 2 years and starts her artistic carrier.


Returning to Buenos Aires, she does a show called Intimate Words, in which she declaims her poems accompanied by a sax and bass. She also composes songs and is the lead singer of a soul band.

In 2000 she participates in the poetry contest of the editorial Cuatro Vientos, in Argentina, where she is the semi-finalist and is chosen to publish her poems in the edition of the Poetic Anthology of the same editorial. She also declaims poetry in the Theatre Babilonia Casa de la Poesia of Buenos Aires and collaborates with Radio Continental interpreting her poems.

In the same year she forms a duet with the argentinian guitarist Fabio Piro, beginning a tour in Buenos Aires that ends in Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay, in a tribute to Tango organized by the Secretary for the Culture.

EIn 2001 she travels to London to deepen her studies in poetry, sculpting and theatre.
In the end of that same year she travels to Spain, to Victoria-Gasteiz, where she lives now. During all her path she develops a work of investigation in poetry with her texts. She collaborates with groups of poetical action, artists and musicians.
